"I’m well aware a tattoo is not going to improve me in some measurable way. At this point I think my body is like an old car, another dent ain't going to make a whole lot of difference. At best, it’s a reminder that you’re still alive ….and lucky as hell…"

OUR ARTISTS
Norm Gardner.
Norm opened Psychocity in Saskatchewan in 2003, and as Norm progressed with his love of art and tattooing, (and Harleys!), he also had a passion for the British Columbia Mountains. After meeting his wife, Bobbi, they decided to pack up shop, kids, houses, and bikes, and follow that passion. In 2013, Psychocity Tattoos in Kamloops was born. The busy shop then not only grew with artists, it then submitted to yet another of Norm's dreams of opening a Tattoo Supply company. He branded their own Tattoo Needles, El Diablo Needles, creating a one-stop-shop for Professional Artists, as well as high-end tattoos. Norm has a sense of artistic vision, he creates one-of-a-kind tattoos for each of his customers, as well as creating a memorable experience. Norm loves black and grey realism and anything that looks real. Don't mention colour, that's like a swear word to him!
Steve M.
Steve has been tattooing for 24 years Canada-wide, making stops in the Yukon, Quebec, and our beautiful BC. Steve is an award-winning and internationally published artist, who loves all styles but specializes in black and grey realism and dark art. In his spare time, Steve loves to spend time fishing or spending time outdoors in nature with his wife, daughter, and his animals. Steve and his wife also own a Sphynx cattery!
Ryan Speiss.
Ryan began his introduction into the art realm as soon as he was able to hold a pencil. Excelling quickly through his discipline and grasping the Understanding of art at a young age, he knew that he would follow his passion for art as a career. Ryan is black an grey artist , who started his tattoo career in the Okanagan valley. With his 10 years in the industry, his primary focus is on realism , bio organic and dark art. Painting , Airbrush work , and sculpting are some of his favourite mediums to work in outside of tattooing.
Craig Church.
My name is Craig Church and I’ve been tattooing professionally for over 15+ years at various shops around Vancouver but recently made the move back to Kamloops last year to be closer to my son and to enjoy a more calmer lifestyle than the big city had to offer. I got into tattooing when I was about 18 years old when I got my first one done and ever since then I’ve geared all my drawing and art towards tattooing.
I enjoy doing all styles of tattoos from black/grey realism to full colour/traditional styles, the art and tattoos I enjoy creating the most are bright and bold colourful illustrative designs (NeoTrad, Traditional, Watercolour, etc) but I’m always willing to take on various styles and projects to keep everyone happy and to increase my flexibility and skill as an artist. If I’m not tattooing you can usually catch me at home spending time with my cats and dog or playing the odd video game or hanging out with my son.

Mackenzie Nelson.
My name is Mackenzie Nelson and I got into the tattoo scene back in 2019 when I moved to Kamloops. I am now a junior artist learning from all the talented guys in Psychocity, trying to pick up any and all tips I can. I’ve always loved art growing up, and the thought of making a career out of it seemed too good to be true, but was determined to make it happen. I can’t wait to continue to learn and progress in my craft on the daily. Neo-traditional and colour tattoos are what I would like to specialize in. In my down time I love hanging out with my critters and plants, and socializing with friends.
Jeannie Borger.
Hi I'm Jeannie, I am currently apprenticing under Norm. I have spent the past year lurking around the shop soaking up as much information about tattooing as I can. I sought out Psychocity because of the incredible work being done here, and I wanted to specialize in black and grey realism. However the more time I spend here, the more I realize I would be open to trying any style. I moved here about a year ago from Northern Alberta and have loved every minute of living and working here, I can't wait to see where this takes me and how far my skills progress!
